Bay windows
Timber bay windows, made to the surveyed opening.
Splayed, square, bow and oriel bays in box sash or casement profiles, for London period properties.
Bay window types we manufacture
Splayed bays
Angled returns typical of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, templated on site so the angles match the existing brickwork.
Square bays
Flat-fronted bays with square returns, common on later Victorian and Edwardian houses and larger suburban villas.
Bow bays
Curved bays with segmented or curved sashes, made to the surveyed radius of the opening.
Oriel bays
First-floor projecting bays supported on brackets or corbels, matched to the original joinery profile.
Profiles available in bay format
Frequently asked questions
Do you make full bay window sets?
Yes. We manufacture complete bay sets including corner posts, structural head and cill sections, templated from a measured survey.
Can bay windows be double glazed?
Yes. Slimlight double glazing and 8.3mm vacuum glazing are both available in bay sashes, including in conservation areas where slim sightlines are required.
Do bay windows need structural support?
Bays often carry load from the wall above, so we assess the head detail at survey and provide the required structural section as part of the bay.
How long does a bay window take?
Bay windows are made to order; lead times are confirmed after the survey and depend on profile, glazing and finish.
